As we continue to grow, Nordik K9 will be winding down our Ottawa operations throughout 2025 to place full focus on our brand-new flagship facility in Barrie.
That doesn’t mean we’re finished with training dogs in the National Capital Region! We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with In Line K9, which will allow us to continue offering high-quality training opportunities to the NCR community.
For those interested in Search and Rescue training, even more will be available through SARDOA.org, where we’ll continue to grow programs, workshops, and opportunities for handlers and their dogs.

Who We Are
Meet Elise, Our Founder
Elise's passion for canine work was ignited during her deployment in Afghanistan where she observed and learned about the dogs' diverse roles in a theater of operations.
Elise served over thirteen years of military experience, both domestically and abroad, where she fulfilled various operations and tasks. Her primary focus was as a dedicated Medical Technician, providing crucial medical care to Canadian Armed Forces soldiers. After retiring from the military in 2018, she seamlessly transitioned into her new career with the Barrie Police Service and also founded Nordik K9. Her newest passion is for conservations and search and rescue and is a dedicated member of the K9 Ranger Project and the Search and Rescue Dogs of Ontario Association.
Elise has her CPDT-KA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

NORDIK K9 is Amazing! We have been customers of the Inukshuk dog food for a few years now, and our working breed (huskies) stay healthier on this blend of food and a bonus, they get less bored of it.
