The Facility
Welcome to Nordik K9 Barrie brand new facility is designed with your dog’s safety, comfort, and development in mind. We offer private, top-of-the-line indoor kennels and a separate indoor training space outfitted with professional-grade rubber flooring. Our mock exam room is a dedicated space where dogs are gently introduced to real-world scenarios like vet visits and grooming appointments, helping them build confidence and tolerance through positive, low-stress exposure. Social time is always structured, carefully supervised, and grouped by size and energy level to ensure a positive and safe experience.
The Training Room
1200sqft of Fun and Action
Our 1200 square foot training room is a versatile, professional space designed for all types of training and enrichment. Outfitted with commercial-grade rubber flooring, it’s safe, durable, and ideal for everything from obedience and scent detection to confidence-building and puppy socialization. The room houses four Dog Pacer treadmills and one FirePaw Slatmill, offering structured physical activity as part of our daily routines. It can be set up for any class or private session. Dogs also enjoy this space during their structured social time, always supervised and tailored to energy level and compatibility. The training room is cleaned daily and can be adapted to meet each dog’s individual needs, making it the heart of our hands-on approach.
The Consultation Room
Plan Your Meet and Greet
Our consultation room is a quiet, cozy space designed to make both you and your dog feel at ease from the moment you arrive. It’s a private setting where you’ll sit down one-on-one with one of our professional trainers to discuss your dog’s history, behaviour, goals, and any concerns you may have. Whether you’re here for a training consultation or a daycare assessment, every dog starts their journey in this room so we can get to know them without overwhelming stimuli. The environment is calm, welcoming, and intentionally free of distractions to help your dog settle and build a positive association. This allows us to make thoughtful, personalized recommendations based on your dog’s unique needs.
The Secure Kennels
Safe, Secure and Comfortable
We offer two distinct kennel rooms to meet the unique needs of every dog in our care. Our smaller room provides a quieter, low-stimulation environment for dogs who need a calmer space to relax and decompress. The larger room houses our more social or active dogs in a safe, structured setting. Each room features top-of-the-line individual kennels, including Rufflands of all sizes, right up to the new Titan, along with Dakota 283s, stainless steel kennels, and more. We’ve carefully selected a variety of kennel types and sizes to ensure every dog, regardless of breed or temperament, has a comfortable, secure place to rest. All kennels are cleaned and sanitized regularly throughout the day to maintain the highest standard of hygiene and safety. The outdoor run is currently under construction.
