Therapy Dog Program: Temperament Test

75 Canadian dollars
Nordik K9 Barrie

Service Description

All dogs wishing to enter the Nordik K9 Day Training program must first complete a 30-minute in-facility temperament assessment. This assessment allows our trainers to evaluate your dog’s behaviour, emotional stability, and suitability for structured training. We observe how your dog responds to handling, environmental changes, mild distractions, and trainer engagement, as well as their ability to settle and recover. The goal of the temperament assessment is to ensure each dog is placed into the appropriate training level and to confirm that Day Training is the right fit. This step helps us maintain safety, training quality, and realistic expectations for every dog in our care. Completion of the temperament assessment is required prior to enrolment in the Therapy Dog Course.
