Nordik K9 - Therapy Dog Certification Program Accredited through Watch My 6 Service Dogs Program Overview This 12-week Therapy Dog Program is designed to prepare suitable dog-and-handler teams for therapy dog work in controlled public and institutional environments (e.g., hospitals, schools, long-term care, community events). This is not service dog training. Therapy dogs do not have public access rights and must work under handler supervision, invitation, and organizational approval. The program emphasizes: - Temperament, stability, and predictability - Handler professionalism and advocacy - Calm, neutral behaviour in public-facing environments - Ethical placement and deployment readiness
Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dogs must meet Nordik K9's vaccination requirements prior to attending class. If your dog is not suitable for a group environment, we may recommend a Professional Canine Behaviour Assessment and an alternative training program. Once classes begin, there are no refunds. Deferral of class may be granted in some circumstances. Cancellation may occur before 72 hrs of the first class beginning. All bookings are subject to Nordik K9's Terms & Conditions.
